no es la fatídica y temperamental Princesa del " Don Carlos " verdiano sino una nueva gran amiga que tengo, que es una perrita color chocolate cuya dueña es una excelentísima mezzo soprano llamada María Luján Mirabelli, de quien soy amigo .

Hacía rato que no percibía una sensación tan fuerte de amor a primera vista como la que sentí ayer al ser efusivamente recibido por esta inteligente , enérgica, torpe y cálida perrita Labradora.

Nunca nos habíamos visto hasta ayer y sin embargo Éboli saltó sobre mí con una impulsividad y alegría idénticas a la de una perrita que ya me hubiese conocido de toda una vida y extrañado una larga ausencia.

Éboli es simpatiquísima, tiene seis meses, y como muchos perros...nos acercan más al misterio del amor y la belleza que muchas palabras, que planes sociales o que un paisaje. En la cálida tranquilidad del departamento de María Luján, dos amigos nuevos se fueron pesando. A veces Éboli ' se acordaba ' que yo era nuevo y que se suponía ella debía desconfiar de mi ...y gruñía a pesar de ella, porque en el fondo de su corazón perruno se había dado cuenta que yo era un amigo y me había aprobado tanto como la aprobé yo a ella.

Eboli is not only the name of the legendary temperamental Princess in " Don Carlos " but that also of a new little friend I have : a female dog of the Labrador type, her colour dark and golden brown like that of a chocolate.Her owner happens to be my great friend , the excellent mezzo - soprano María Luján Mirabelli.

Our love - Éboli's and mine - was fiery and....at first sight. As soon as María Luján and her husband opened the door of their warm and agreeable ( and ample ) flat, Éboli jumped at me in sheer joy as if she had known me for ages and I had turned back from a long trip.

Sometimes the warm, intelligent, energetic and even awkward dog happened to ' remember ' that I was a newcomer and groaned and barked a little in fake warning and rage,but she soon realized that we had met each other in a matter of seconds, and that she had approved me as thoroughly as I had approved her....

Sometimes - we all know this fact - dogs are the servers of beauty and love more than a landscape or a bunch of beautiful words.
